Terms and Conditions for Job Applicants

Peace Cleaning Services – Terms and Conditions for Job Applicants

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the basis upon which Peace Cleaning Services (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”) will receive, process and manage job applications submitted by prospective candidates (“you”, “the applicant”). By submitting your application, including but not limited to the uploading of a curriculum vitae (CV) or personal data via our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms are issued in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, including the Data Protection Act 2018, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), and all other relevant employment and regulatory legislation.

Submission of an application does not guarantee employment, interview, or engagement. Applications will be assessed at the Company’s discretion, based on suitability for available roles. The Company may require further information, references, proof of right-to-work documentation, or other verification in order to progress an application. Failure to provide requested information may result in withdrawal of the application. The Company reserves the right to decline, suspend, or terminate an application process at any stage, without obligation to provide detailed reasoning.

Roles offered by the Company may be either on an employed or self-employed basis. The precise terms of engagement, including pay rates, working hours, entitlements and responsibilities, will be set out in a separate contract of employment or contractor agreement, which shall supersede these Terms. Self-employed workers shall be responsible for their own tax, National Insurance contributions and compliance with HMRC regulations. Employment, if offered, will be conditional upon satisfactory references, right-to-work checks, training compliance, and where applicable, an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

The Company is a registered Data Controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and is committed to full compliance with the UK GDPR. By submitting your application, you consent to the collection, processing, storage and use of your personal data by the Company for purposes connected with recruitment, employment and regulatory compliance.

Personal data collected may include (without limitation): full name, address and contact details; employment history and qualifications; identification documents and right-to-work evidence; DBS information and safeguarding records (where relevant); training certifications, references, and performance assessments.

Your personal data will only be used for legitimate business purposes, including assessing suitability for roles, maintaining compliance with legal obligations, internal audits, and communication with you regarding opportunities. Data may be shared with third parties strictly for lawful purposes such as DBS verification, training providers, payroll services, and regulatory authorities. Data will not be sold to marketing organisations. Applicant records shall be retained for no longer than 12 months unless extended by consent or legal necessity. Applicants may exercise the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of personal data in accordance with UK GDPR provisions.

The Company is an equal opportunities employer. No applicant shall be unfairly treated on the grounds of race, religion, belief, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, or any other protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010. All applicants will be assessed solely on merit, qualifications, experience and suitability for the role.

By applying, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete. Falsification of records or withholding of material facts may result in withdrawal of an offer or termination of employment. Applicants and staff are expected to uphold the highest standards of honesty, integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality when engaged with the Company or its clients. Where roles involve working in sensitive environments (e.g., residential homes, offices, commercial spaces), you agree to adhere to safeguarding policies, confidentiality agreements, and site-specific health and safety rules.

All applicants acknowledge that, during the recruitment process or subsequent employment, confidential information relating to the Company’s clients, staff, or operations may be disclosed. Such information must not be disclosed to any third party without written consent from the Company, unless required by law. This obligation continues after the recruitment process, regardless of outcome.

If engaged by the Company, you will be required to comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy, COSHH regulations, and all site-specific risk assessments and method statements (RAMS). You agree to immediately report any accident, injury, or unsafe condition encountered during the course of work.

The Company shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage or expense arising out of false information provided by an applicant. Applicants agree to indemnify the Company against any claims, damages or losses resulting from their own acts, omissions or breaches of these Terms.

The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms from time to time in line with changes in law or operational requirements. The updated version will be posted on the Company’s website and deemed effective immediately.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
