1. Introduction

Peace Staffing Services Ltd is committed to maintaining essential service delivery during any public health emergency, including COVID-19. This policy outlines our safety measures to minimise risks to staff, service users, and clients while ensuring continuity of care.

We regularly review and update this plan in line with UK Government and NHS guidance. Our operations are risk-assessed and monitored by senior management and clinical advisors, ensuring resilience, safety, and transparency at all times.

2. Safe Working

All our business operations follow risk-assessed working practices. We promote a flexible work model for administrative staff while ensuring safe deployment of healthcare professionals to client locations.

Where relevant, remote administrative functions will continue where possible to reduce unnecessary in-person contact. Staff working onsite are reminded of hygiene, distancing, and infection control protocols where applicable.

3. Office Staff

• Face masks in offices are optional unless otherwise mandated.

• Testing is not required unless staff exhibit symptoms.

• Staff are encouraged to stay home if showing symptoms.

• Office layouts promote safety and reduce shared contact.

• Blended working arrangements remain in place.

4. Healthcare Staff

• Staff are regularly updated on government guidance.

• Must not attend work if symptomatic.

• PPE usage is aligned with client and NHS guidance.

• Must confirm symptom-free status before shifts.

• Must always follow infection control practices.

5. Training

All healthcare staff must complete mandatory infection prevention and control (IPC) training. This includes:

• COVID-19 awareness

• PPE usage and fit testing

• Flu and COVID-19 transmission prevention

• Respiratory and outbreak management

Training is refreshed regularly and tracked internally.

6. Testing – Healthcare and Office Staff

• Routine asymptomatic testing is not required unless requested by the client.

• Staff must report test results when applicable.

• Symptomatic staff should use NHS 111 or NHS 24 and stay home until cleared.

7. Flu and Coronavirus Vaccines

We actively encourage all staff to receive flu and COVID-19 vaccinations. We provide guidance and support for staff to access vaccinations. Where not available through the NHS, we may support access through private providers.

8. Clients

Clients are expected to:

• Provide PPE and maintain infection control.

• Notify Peace Staffing Services of outbreaks or symptoms.

• Conduct placement-specific risk assessments.

• Provide safe environments for healthcare delivery.

9. Emergency Contingency Planning

We maintain active emergency plans including:

• Staff shortages

• Outbreaks at client sites

• Emergency contact procedures

• Prioritised staffing rotas and redeployment

Staff are briefed regularly and supported to maintain care delivery.
