Introduction

This Social Media Policy outlines the expectations and standards for all employees, workers, and contractors of Peace Staffing Services Ltd when using social media, both professionally and personally. The purpose of this policy is to:

  • Protect the reputation of the company

  • Safeguard service users and clients

  • Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and professional conduct requirements

Section 1 – Scope

This policy applies to all staff of Peace Staffing Services Ltd, including agency workers and contractors, who engage in online activity on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, and blogs.
It applies to activity both during and outside working hours, where there is a connection to the company.

Section 2 – Acceptable Use

Employees are encouraged to:

  • Use social media responsibly and respectfully

  • Promote the company positively, where authorised to do so

  • Ensure all shared content is accurate and professional

  • Raise concerns or complaints through internal channels rather than social media

Section 3 – Prohibited Use

Employees must not:

  • Share confidential or personal data of service users, clients, or colleagues

  • Post content that could harm the reputation of Peace Staffing Services Ltd

  • Use discriminatory, harassing, or offensive language

  • Represent themselves as speaking on behalf of the company without authorisation

  • Use social media during working hours in a way that interferes with duties

Section 4 – Confidentiality and Safeguarding

  • Staff must maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Posting photographs, videos, or information about service users, healthcare settings, or client premises is strictly prohibited without prior written consent.

  • Breaches of confidentiality or safeguarding obligations may result in disciplinary action.

Section 5 – Monitoring and Enforcement

  • Peace Staffing Services Ltd reserves the right to monitor public social media activity relating to the company.

  • Breaches of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal or termination of contract.

  • Serious breaches may also be reported to regulatory bodies such as the CQC or the NMC.

Section 6 – Employee Responsibilities

All staff are expected to:

  • Read and understand this policy

  • Seek guidance if unsure about posting content

  • Report any breaches of this policy to management immediately
